Our Christmas cruise on the Rhine is the perfect way to add a very special touch to your Christmas celebrations. From Düsseldorf, the journey takes you through the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Boppard to the idyllic town of Speyer. In keeping with the contemplative nature of the season, you will have the opportunity to stroll through the cozy alleyways here. The rest of the journey takes you to the capital of Christmas - Strasbourg welcomes you with warm lights and romantic decorations. You will spend Christmas Eve in Mainz, for example at the church service in St. Martin's Cathedral. Afterwards, the ship will take you via Rüdesheim to Koblenz and Düsseldorf. Your holidays have certainly never been this extraordinary.

Düsseldorf
RRhenish lifestyle between tradition and modernity - Düsseldorf inspires with diversity! Here art and Kultour lovers get just as enthusiastic as shopping enthusiasts, here the Media Harbor impresses with contemporary architecture as well as the historic Old Town. The old town makes Düsseldorf with more than 250 cozy pubs to the "longest bar in the world". There tastes not only the traditional Altbier! Not may miss a stroll along Königsallee, the world-famous strolling mile - or rather a visit to one of the numberrich sympathetic flea markets? And in the middle of it all: lots of Green and the Rhine with its riverside promenade to breathe easy . No wonder the VIVA Cruises family feels so right at home here!
Boppard
The town of Boppard is located in the Middle Rhine Valley and has many small stores, a beautiful old town and a medieval tower. High above the small Rhine town rises majestically a castle, as there are numerous in the Middle Rhine Valley. One feels transported back to the Middle Ages. Boppard is connected with the Rhine towns in Hesse by a small ferry. There are no bridges between Mainz and Koblenz, as the Middle Rhine Valley is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Speyer
The 2000-year-old Speyer resembles a single open-air museum: Salian history at every turn. The cathedral city on the Rhine is proud of its favorable location in the heart of Europe. The many-towered silhouette of the mighty red sandstone cathedral towers over the city. Anyone visiting the cathedral should also descend the steps to the imperial crypt. The most important sights of the old imperial city are almost all located in the city center, which makes it possible to admire them during a nice walk through the city. Those who are tired of walking can stop in one of the countless restaurants and cafes.
Strasbourg
From the first minute, the French Strasbourg enchants with colorful half-timbered idyll, Wilhelminian splendor architecture,new trendy neighborhoods and exciting museums. Even a short visit has a long-term effect thanks to the many inspirations! In the picturesque district of La Petite France, the moment can be enjoyed perfectly with a tarte flambée, before the imposing cathedral with stained glass windows and archways invites you to travel back in time to the Gothic period. Those who are free from giddiness should definitely take the 332 steps up to the viewing platformhere to see the Vosges and the Black Forest in the distance.
Mainz
The capital of Rhineland-Palatinate Mainz is located directly on the Rhine. St. Martin's Cathedral, which is well worth seeing, is one of the special sights, as are numerous monuments and fountains. Spacious parks and green spaces invite you to take contemplative walks. A visit to the Electoral Palace should not be missed. Historic buildings bear witness to an eventful history, from the beginnings in Roman times 2000 years ago to the present day modernity. The Haus zum Stein in the city center is the oldest preserved Mainz residential building from the Middle Ages.
Rüdesheim
The picturesque town of Rüdesheim is located directly on the Rhine in Hesse and has many attractions, such as the famous Drosselgasse, where there are numerous wine bars, but also a castle and a torture museum, where medieval torture instruments and the history of the Inquisition are exhibited. A cable car goes up to the Niederwald Monument, which is located above the town. From here you can take a beautiful hike through pristine woodlands and then come to the chairlift that leads directly to Assmannshausen. This is also located on the Rhine.
Coblenz
Koblenz already impresses with its unique location at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. The first port of call when visiting the city should therefore also be the so-called "German Corner" with its imposing Kaiser Wilhelm monument. Since 2002, it has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Upper Middle Rhine Valley". A beautiful view of Koblenz and its two rivers opens up during a visit to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. Perched 120 meters above the Rhine, the 16th-century fortification is the second largest fortress still standing in Europe. Spectacular is already the ascent in a gondola of the cable car..

Indulge in a gourmet meal in the main restaurant or in the bistro and enjoy a drink in the panoramic lounge after dinner. Marvel at the passing scenery while golfing on the deck or while relaxing in the whirlpool. For the more active guests, rental bicycles are available for you to explore the landscape individually. The VIVA MOMENTS invites with 88 cabins up to 176 passengers on feel-good moments on board. On the Diamant Deck there are four luxurious balcony suites, which with 24 m² size and a walk-out balcony invite you to enjoy the beautiful view. On the Diamond Deck, as well as on the Ruby Deck, there are 19 m² Junior Suites, which have a French balcony. The main part of the cabins is made up by 2-bed cabins with 16 m² size. These have French balconies on the Diamond and Ruby decks and non-opening windows on the Emerald deck. All cabins are perfectly equipped with flat screen TV, included mini-bar, Nespresso® machine, Beauty products from RITUALS®, hairdryer, safe, air conditioning, shower and toilet.
