It is not for nothing that our Christmas cruises are among our highlights, because it is not often that you get the chance to marvel at Christmas-enchanted cities such as Frankfurt, Mannheim, Strasbourg, Koblenz or Eltville in just seven days. Frankfurt
Connected to the Danube via the Main-Danube Canal, Frankfurt is one of the most unique cities in Germany. After all, it is the only city with a skyline of skyscrapers. A view of the metropolis from the observation deck of the MAIN TOWER is a very special experience. However, Frankfurt is not only a very modern and busy city, but also has a lot of history to offer its visitors. For example, the Römer and the Paulskirche are among the most famous historical sights in Germany. And when it comes to art and culture, Frankfurt is also an absolute hotspot. Mannheim
The city of Mannheim is located on the Rhine, directly opposite Ludwigshafen in Baden-Württemberg. The castle is the landmark of the city and is located not far from the river. But also the water tower and in February the street carnival are known for the city, which is located only a few kilometers from Heidelberg. Particularly attractive are the squares in which the city center is laid out. The city center is large with numerous shopping opportunities and enough cafes to stop .
Strasbourg
From the first minute, the French Strasbourg enchants with colorful half-timbered idyll, Wilhelminian splendor architecture,new trendy neighborhoods and exciting museums. Even a short visit has a long-term effect thanks to the many inspirations! In the picturesque district of La Petite France, the moment can be enjoyed perfectly with a tarte flambée, before the imposing cathedral with stained glass windows and archways invites you to travel back in time to the Gothic period. Those who are free from giddiness should definitely take the 332 steps up to the viewing platformhere to see the Vosges and the Black Forest in the distance.
Speyer
The 2000-year-old Speyer resembles a single open-air museum: Salian history at every turn. The cathedral city on the Rhine is proud of its favorable location in the heart of Europe. The many-towered silhouette of the mighty red sandstone cathedral towers over the city. Anyone visiting the cathedral should also descend the steps to the imperial crypt. The most important sights of the old imperial city are almost all located in the city center, which makes it possible to admire them during a nice walk through the city. Those who are tired of walking can stop in one of the countless restaurants and cafes.
Coblenz
Koblenz already impresses with its unique location at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. The first port of call when visiting the city should therefore also be the so-called "German Corner" with its imposing Kaiser Wilhelm monument. Since 2002, it has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Upper Middle Rhine Valley". A beautiful view of Koblenz and its two rivers opens up during a visit to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. Perched 120 meters above the Rhine, the 16th-century fortification is the second largest fortress still standing in Europe. Spectacular is already the ascent in a gondola of the cable car..
Eltville
Eltville in Hesse is a cozy little town on the north bank of the Rhine, between Mainz and Bingen. The old town is grouped around the Electoral Castle of Eltville, which stands almost directly on the banks of the Rhine. The castle dates back to the 13th century and was destroyed in 1635 during the Thirty Years' War; only the residential tower was rebuilt and has been preserved to this day. Today it houses a museum dedicated to the town and regional history of Eltville, as well as the tourist information office. Next to the castle is the small rose garden, which is one of the most popular attractions of the town, especially in summer. Next to the castle, around the parish church of Saint Peter and Paul, is grouped the small old town of Eltville, which, however, consists of only a few alleys. Its center is the charming market square. Many of the houses here are built in the half-timbered style typical of Hesse, including the old town hall dating from 1535. The old town opens up to the Rhine with a beautiful promenade.
Mainz
The capital of Rhineland-Palatinate Mainz is located directly on the Rhine. St. Martin's Cathedral, which is well worth seeing, is one of the special sights, as are numerous monuments and fountains. Spacious parks and green spaces invite you to take contemplative walks. A visit to the Electoral Palace should not be missed. Historic buildings bear witness to an eventful history, from the beginnings in Roman times 2000 years ago to the present day modernity. The Haus zum Stein in the city center is the oldest preserved Mainz residential building from the Middle Ages.

The modern and spacious design of the VIVA TIARA will captivate you from the first glance inside. Here you can enjoy your vacation to the fullest. Indulge in gourmet dining in the main Riverside restaurant or VIVA's Bistro, or relax in the whirlpool on deck. Treat yourself to a quiet moment in the sauna or steam room, or challenge yourself and your opponent with a game of chess on the sun deck. On the VIVA TIARA, freshly renovated in 2020, 76 exclusively equipped cabins for 152 guests provide relaxing feel-good moments. The majority of the cabins on the Diamond, Ruby and Emerald decks are 15 m² 2-bed cabins, from which you can enjoy the passing landscape via a French balcony on the Diamond and Ruby decks. On the Ruby and Diamond decks there are two additional 17 m² Junior Suites, which also have a French balcony. The cabins on the Emerald Deck have windows that cannot be opened. All cabins are perfectly equipped with flat-screen TV, included mini-bar, Nespresso® machine, beauty products by RITUALS®, hairdryer, safe, air conditioning, shower and toilet. An elevator connects the lobby with the Diamond Deck, Ruby Deck and the restaurant. On the VIVA TIARA, in addition to the main restaurant Riverside, guests can expect a bistro included in the VIVA All-Inclusive, as well as a wellness area with sauna and steam bath, among other things, and the sun deck with whirlpool and many deck chairs and other seating.
