The German city of Koblenz enjoys a fabulous geographical setting. It lies at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers (what a treat for riverboat cruise trips) and the convergence of three low mountain ranges, the Westerwald, Hunsrück, and the Eifel (great photo opportunities). It is a popular destination for exploring the romantic Rhine Valley. It is a rather unimposing town mostly visited because of its strategic position but it is welcoming and pleasant with a good range of bars and restaurants in a pedestrianised centre.

There are some interesting attractions, a major one being the Deutsches Eck, a park with a huge statue of Kaiser Wilhelm who base provides a great position to view the point where the Rhine and Moselle meet. The best time to visit Koblenz is in August during the festival Rhein in Flammen (Rhine in Flames) when there is a splendid fireworks display.

Coblenz: Old town tour with hot chocolate and Koblenz kisses

The knowledgeable guides will pick you up directly from the ship and accompany you on your ramble through Koblenz. The old town was lovingly rebuilt and restored after the devastating destruction of the 2nd World War, so there is a lot to discover. The St. Kastor Basilica, the Liebfrauenkirche (Church of Our Lady), the Kaiser Wilhelm monument at the Deutsches Eck (German Corner), where the Moselle meets Father Rhine, romantic alleys and of course the city's landmark - the Schängelbrunnen fountain in front of the town hall - are among the most important sights of the two-liquid city.

Frankfurt: City Walk incl. new old town

Welcome to Frankfurt, a city full of contrasts. With 750000 inhabitants it is the largest city in Hessen. Due to its good location on the Main River, the city has been one of the most important German urban centres since the early Middle Ages. Today it is an important industrial and economic centre and the seat of the European Central Bank, the German Federal Bank and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The city's landmark is the ever-growing skyline. It is located near Frankfurt city centre, close to a beautiful park with Mediterranean vegetation and a view of the banking district. Come with us and discover this wonderful city. Your tour starts with a walk along the impressive Rhine and leads you directly into the city centre. Here you walk with us through the "new old town", which is a remake from 2018. You will cross the historic market place, see the St. Pauls Church, which was the birthplace of democracy in Germany, and the coronation cathedral of the emperors. The new Frankfurt Old Town is a magnet for both citizens and tourists from all over the world. Numerous cafés and museums invite you to linger a while and enjoy the old town flair.

Wertheim: City walk with glass museum (blow your own Glassball)

The Maintor is the ideal starting point for a sightseeing tour on foot. It dates from the 13th to 15th century and is one of 18 other medieval passages in the city. Through the gate you enter the old town of Wertheim. A real highlight is the historic market square, which captivates with its half-timbered houses and the lively market bustle on Saturdays. From there it is not far to the Marienkapelle, which dates back to 1447. A short detour to the Friedleinsgasse is worthwhile. Here you can admire the Baunachshof, which is characterised by its unusual architecture.

Afterwards you will visit the glass museum in the former Kallenbach's house. Today the glass museum has over 650 square metres of exhibition space at its disposal. Experience one of man's most fascinating and versatile materials: GLASS - From A  to Z as in Zeiss lens you will traverse the more than 3000 year old history of glass like in a glass encyclopaedia. Frankfurt: Alt-Sachsenhausen with apple wine tasting

This afternoon our guide will take you to discover Frankfurt from the other "side". Learn more about the extremely popular district Sachsenhausen & go on an exciting tour. Experience the beautiful architecture of "Dribdebach" with its numerous cider pubs & extraordinary backyards and hear exciting stories. You can then review the collected impressions in a cosy round with a Frankfurter Schoppe in a traditional apple wine pub.
Starting at the boat we walk along the banks of the river Main and cross the river via the famous Iron Bridge. As soon as you enter Alt-Sachsenhausen, you will encounter the symbol of this beautiful district at every corner: the apple! It took a long time for Frankfurt's responsible people to take care of this part of old Frankfurt, and it was almost too late for some houses threatened by decay. But it all started in 2001 - since then, all corners of Sachsenhausen have been cleaned up, redeveloped, renovated and beautified. Almost 30 houses have been given a new coat of paint, cobblestones once again adorn the old alleys, an old residential tower has been rediscovered, and even remnants of the historic city wall have come to light during the renovations. The optical embellishment attracted new shops and makes the quarter interesting for visitors not only in the evening and at night. The apple, however, is and remains the trademark of Sachsenhausen - especially in its liquid form, served in the typical blue clay jug, the "Bembel". Many - still self-pressing landlords continue this old Saxon tradition. The history of the Frankfurt district probably goes back to the foundation of Frankfurt, but you will learn more about this during the tour.
Before you go back on board, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Frankfurt skyline.

Speyer sits on a bend in the Rhine in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It’s one of the country’s oldest cities boasting a vast cathedral, Medieval synagogue, a pedestrianized shopping area and a museum filled with planes, trains and automobiles. Speyer Cathedral dates back to the 1020s and is the largest European Romanesque church. It’s impressive proportions attract visitors who come to see the blind-arched construction, the frescoes by Johann von Schraudolph, and the crypt where 12 kings, queens and emperors are laid to rest.

Judenhof is an important synagogue with a 13th century Mikvah – or bathing house. With an exhibition explaining about the Jewish community that prayed here, it’s a moving site to visit. Positioned at the end of pedestrianized Maximilian Street, The Old Gate was originally part of the Medieval city wall. Spectacular views over the city can be seen from the viewing area at the top of this landmark tower.
