Starting at the boat we walk along the banks of the river Main and cross the river via the famous Iron Bridge. As soon as you enter Alt-Sachsenhausen, you will encounter the symbol of this beautiful district at every corner: the apple! It took a long time for Frankfurt's responsible people to take care of this part of old Frankfurt, and it was almost too late for some houses threatened by decay. But it all started in 2001 - since then, all corners of Sachsenhausen have been cleaned up, redeveloped, renovated and beautified. Almost 30 houses have been given a new coat of paint, cobblestones once again adorn the old alleys, an old residential tower has been rediscovered, and even remnants of the historic city wall have come to light during the renovations. The optical embellishment attracted new shops and makes the quarter interesting for visitors not only in the evening and at night. The apple, however, is and remains the trademark of Sachsenhausen - especially in its liquid form, served in the typical blue clay jug, the "Bembel". Many - still self-pressing landlords continue this old Saxon tradition. The history of the Frankfurt district probably goes back to the foundation of Frankfurt, but you will learn more about this during the tour.
Before you go back on board, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Frankfurt skyline.

Visit the attractive Miltenberg on a river cruise located in Germany and you will swiftly apprehend why this picturesque Bavarian city is fondly called the "Pearl of the Main". This city is among the few German cities that have hardly changed since World War II. Majority of the well-preserved structures and streets are the same as a few centuries ago.
Miltenberg stretches along the edges of the Main and focuses on the main lane that the Romans laid out at the beginning of the city. It's relaxing, easy, and worth exploring. In a few hours you can discover many sights and delicacies, from the splendid market square in the old town to the out-of-date half-timbered households and the Gasthaus Riesen, the ancient hotel in Germany, in which Barbarossa, Emperor Friedrich III, the Bavarian King Ludwig and even Presley Elvis lived have stayed through the years. It is a place worth visiting.
The picturesque small town on the Main, situated between the wooded slopes of Spessart and Odenwald, is characterised by ashlar buildings made of red mottled sandstone, lots of half-timbering and the castle, which has been restored to its former colourfulness. Our guides will pick you up at the ship and take you to one of the most beautiful market places in Germany, the so-called Schnatterloch. The proud half-timbered houses from the 14th to 17th centuries are staggered here like a stage set. As you walk through the small streets of the town, you will pass other impressive buildings, including the old town hall (formerly a store and warehouse) and Germany's oldest inn, the Riesen. Directly after the tour, you still have time for an individual stroll in the city centre.
